It doesn’t take a “Bible scholar” or a “rocket scientist” to realize that we are now living in “The Last Days” and these last days are and will continue to be very perilous times. So, here we are in 2019 faced with peril, turmoil, division, uncertainty, deception and confusion and we’re also faced with the questions, “How am I and my family going to get through these perilous times?”, “What am I going to do?”, “Where am I to go?” and “When am I to go there?” and “How am I to get there?” In these last days, we’re all faced with these same questions of how, what, where and when! I know of no “man”, “institution” or “government” that has the answers to these questions, NO, not one! Yet there is “One”, the “Supernatural Man”, the “God-Man”, The Lord Jesus Christ! He knows what lies ahead and He has all the answers to our questions of how, what, where and when! He knows “The Way” through these last days because He is “The Way, The Truth and The Life” and we can and must “trust Him”! Webster’s Dictionary defines “trust” as the firm belief or confidence in the honesty, integrity, reliability, justice and truthfulness of another person or thing. It means faith and reliance in or confident expectation, anticipation, and hope. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not upon your own understanding. In all you ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” In John Chapter 10, Jesus declares Himself to be our “Good Shepherd”. In verse four, Jesus said that His sheep know His voice and they follow Him. They are familiar with “His Voice” and “His Ways”! Isaiah prophesied this in Isaiah 30:21, “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying “This is The Way, walk in it”, whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.” So, our “getting through” or “navigating” these “last days” is going to take four things.
- Faith – that comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of God, both written and spoken.
- Hope – that goes hand-in-hand with faith.
- Obedience – By being a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.
- Trust – That He shall and will direct our paths.
The Lord said in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” We’re certainly going to need this as we are now “Navigating These Last Days”! Praise God!
Forever Following Jesus,
